On 5 November, the watch brand NIVREL from Saarbruecken was the topic of the ‘Made in Saarland’ campaign. The sole producer of wrist watches in the region was introduced to the readers not only with its products, but also with its long entrepreneurial family tradition of the Kraemer / Hofer family who provides the region with exceptional jewelry and fine watches since 1891. To illustrate the connection between the Kraemer jewelry store and NIVREL, and to provide a unique and normally impossible look behind the scenes of the production, NIVREL and the Kraemer jewelry store invited on 23 and 30 November to their ‘watchmaker’s Day’. In the showroom and the workshop of the Kraemer jewelry store, interested readers had the possibility to learn more about the NIVREL collection. Under the slogan ‘This is how a NIVREL watch is created’, the guests were given insights into the work of the watchmakers and goldsmiths. The NIVREL watchmakers gave them a first-hand experience into the world of mechanic watches and the special skills and experience that a watchmaker needs in order to build those tiny gear-wheels, springs, and screws together into a full-functioning watch movement. In the goldsmith workshop of the Kraemer jewelry store, the production of unique jewelry pieces and parts for the NIVREL watches was explained and demonstrated live.
The campaign was a huge success. In total, six tours were given within two days, instead of the two tours that had been planned initially. The feedback from participants was very positive. NIVREL and jeweler Kraemer would like to thank all the visitors for their participation and interesting feedback!
