Masculine, classic, sportive: The new Replique Manuelle

When you think of mechanical wrist watches from the 1950ies, you certainly think of classic hand-wound timepieces. Watch enthusiasts appreciate such watches not just because of the classic design. Wearing a hand-wound watch always means to have a close relationship with the piece of jewelry on your wrist, because it is essential to wind it up again after a few days.

The new NIVREL Replique Manuelle (Ref. N 322.001) is a declaration of love to the classic, hand-wound timepiece of the 1950's. Like all watches of the Edition Replique the new watch is developed on the basis of an older NIVREL model as the Edition Replique embraces with the history of NIVREL and resurrects the design elements of historical NIVREL models in new watches.

The clear dial design represents the design of the old NIVREL watches, which were at that time still produced in Switzerland. Applied Arabic numerals alternating with applied indexes, both filled with luminous material, allow a good visibility. The luminous hands in losange-style emphasize the fact even more. A difference from the original models is most certainly the case size. With 44 mm diameter, 13 mm height and a domed sapphire crystal, the Replique Manuellel can proudly claim to be the largest NIVREL wristwatch that has ever been introduced to the market. Thus, the classic manual winding timepiece is spiced with a very masculine character and a sporty touch.

In case of the movement the new Replique Manuelle stays true to history. The crystal case back of the case allows a wonderful view of the ETA Unitas 6497-1 elaboré movement carrying out its work. As usual for NIVREL, the movement comes in a refurbished version featuring flame-blued screws and a Côtes Circulaires finishing.
