NIVREL's best success of the year 2007 was the 5-Minute-Repeater 'Black Dragon' from the 'Pièce Unique' series. This series represents Gerd Hofer's idea to combine his family tradition in the jewellery and goldsmith business with his own passion for watch making. As an example, the Black Dragon as a dial element is a true piece of jewellery made from hand-skelettonized and hand-engraved gold. The watch also features a repeater mechanism, one of the most stunning horlogical complications of all times. In 2008, the Black Dragon will be joined by a 'complicated' brother. His newly developed head is attached to an automatic handling device on top of the repeater movement. When launching the repeater mechanism, not only the time will be indicated acoustically. Also, the dragon will move its head according to the bell sound.
