In the following example, one of our repeater watches was used and customized completely in order to meet the expectations of the inquiring customer.
The main feature was the logo of a famous rock band that was supposed to be applied onto the dial. In order to do so, the logo was cut out of a solid 18 ct. rose gold plate. Additionally, small gold bars with a thickness of 1 mm were produced and lasered to the backside of the jewelry. These bars were later used to stick the jewelry through the dial and fix it to the movement underneath. The dial itself, - being the background of the jewelry was made out of a massive brass plate, which was fine finished with a hand-made guilloche. To give it its black color, the guilloched was finished by using a so-called electroplating process.
In order to truly customize the watch for the customer, the backside of the timepiece was given some attention, too! The rotor of the movement was hand-engraved, displaying a special name. After the engraving process, the rotor was covered with rhodium and afterwards placed carefully back onto the watch movement. The case back of the 18 ct. rose gold watch case received a special laser engraving as well.
After the single parts of the watch were produced and customized, the complete and final product was assembled by the NIVREL watchmaker.
